Landgasthof Zum Schwanen in Durach

On the way back home we stopped at the Schwanen inn. At first glance a typical traditional Allgäu inn, where you can't go wrong, as you know. Nice beer garden and friendly service. Unfortunately we were there shortly before the kitchen closed or the lunch break. A mixed salad with garlic pizza bread and a fish dish with vegetables and garlic sauce were ordered. The fish was served without sauce, but with kitchen waste (cut off ends of zucchini and carrot) The salad was green and not mixed. At least there was a tomato in it. The garlic bread was covered with very little garlic but with a peel. But what bothered me most was the condition of the high chair for our little one. An old, rickety and totally dirty part. That is not how it works. Washable things are available from a Swedish furniture store for little money. So better send people away than serve food like that. What I found good, the criticism was received without comment and there was a discount. Sorry, no excuse. We won't be back.

I ended up here by chance and was more than satisfied. Although the beer garden was packed and several tables were still occupied inside, we were served very friendly and quickly. The food came after about 25 minutes, which in my opinion was very quick for the number of guests. I had a hunter schnitzel with fresh mushrooms and very tasty spaetzle. The food was really delicious and plentiful. I will definitely come again!

Simple country inn, had we not been invited, we would not have ended up there. Nothing can be said about the service provided by a son of the owner. With the dishes, which are slightly Italian-oriented, you can see that mostly convenience products are used here. Well, many guests don't notice it and say delicious!

Halli Hello, we were only there for a beer but the host was very friendly and fast. The menu seemed manageable, which suggests that what is offered is also fresh. This is my tip for you: if more than 20 main courses can be found on one card, not everything can be fresh. I come from the catering industry and therefore know the tricks.

Operation is based on the motto: "He was always ready". Could be faster, friendlier and more organized. Quality of the food rather mediocre, prices average. Were partly served in the area between lukewarm and cold.

We were only here for dinner. But the food was awesome. Extra wishes no problem. Service was totally friendly. Finally a restaurant in which there was nothing to complain about. Too bad we were just passing through otherwise this would be my favorite place. Many thanks.

Hammer Restaurant. The best onion roast ever .... 😁. This is how bourgeois cuisine goes. Great staff and friendly guests. Here you do not sit alone at the table for a long time. The surprising thing was that the operators are not Bayern. Anyone who can run a restaurant in Bavaria as a non-Bavarian simply has to be in a class of his own. Keep up the good work. When I'm back in the Gege D, I'll have you back on my neck .... 👌😉

The staff is very nice and the location for fliers in 5 minutes' walk to the airport is also very good. It is a very simple accommodation on a busy street. The windows are well soundproofed so you can't go much higher when they are closed !!! The breakfast was very simple, for the nightly price of € 50, but still OK. What I didn't like were the many flies on the breakfast table and the condition in the bathroom (see pictures). The simple and aging equipment was still okay for me and according to the price.

Very nice and charmy gasthauf. Clean and friendly. Very nice staff! Excellent food - from pizza to German traditional dishes. (Good prices from 7€ and up) For less than 59euro you get a nice clean cozy room for 2 people with toilet /shower and tv and Wifi. *Breakfast included. Highly recommended!
